By accessing and using GearForge.online ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

GearForge.online provides online gear design and calculation tools. The Service allows users to:

  • Design and preview spur, helical, bevel, worm, rack & pinion, and internal gears
  • Export gear designs in SVG, DXF, STL, and PNG formats
  • Save gear designs to a registered account

3. User Accounts

To save designs, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account password
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Providing accurate registration information

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the Service
  • Impersonate other users or create false accounts
  • Scrape or systematically download data from the Service without permission

5. Intellectual Property

The gear designs you create and export using GearForge.online are yours. You retain full ownership of your designs and exported files. GearForge.online retains ownership of the website code, interface, and calculation algorithms.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for accuracy, gear calculations should be verified by a qualified engineer before use in production applications. We do not warrant that:

  • The calculations are error-free or suitable for every engineering application
  • The Service will be uninterrupted or available at all times
  • Exported files will be compatible with all CAD/CAM software

7. Limitation of Liability

GearForge.online shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damage caused by reliance on gear calculations for engineering or manufacturing purposes.

8. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
